As he lay in the sand ready to die, he had the strength to lift his head and look at the world for the last time and saw an oasis surrounded by trees with a horse drinking from the water.
At first, he thought he was just seeing things but then he realized it could be true.
As he got up and ran to it the horse ran away but he felt the water and it was real!
“Oh God thank you! You have saved me from death!” Bruce exclaimed.
When he was done drinking a good amount of water he jumped into the water, he closed his eyes and he felt very peaceful in the moment, being so lucky as to find this in the middle of the desert.
The water was almost seven feet deep giving him enough water to have a bath and cool his skin.
Above him there were pom trees of great size being a good sun blocker and providing him shade.
There also was a little part of water attached to the pond that he found fish in.
Above some of the water there was a cave so that he could go in and be in cool water and had even more shade than trees.
Soon after bathing and swimming he began to feel hungry and tired, so he sharpened a stick on a rock making it almost like a spear then for hours he tried to catch fish, but he couldn’t.
Just then when he thought all hope was lost, he caught at least a three-foot-long fish!
He was so happy! He hadn’t seen fish for so long!
After his excitement he cooked it over a fire and had a very good meal.
Soon after he fell asleep.
Bruce woke up to the bright sun shining high in the sky, he got up, got a drink of water then sat down and thought I needed a house to live in and call my own.
So, he began trying to make a small hut out of trees and bushes, but it was sent really working.
It took him hours to fille down a tree with a sharp rock then kick it as hard as he could, making it fall.
Now he had to cut the tree into even more pieces!
It took him hours, but he was able to make a very big frame from his house. It took him three days to make the frame stronger and weeks to make the roof and walls.
Overall, it took him almost a month of work but finally at last, he did it.
Now he could finally fall asleep in his new home.
He began trying to make a bigger and better spear to catch fish and lizards.
On day when he was trying to make a table outside int the sun for his new house a large rock was thrusted at his head leaving him unconscious.
When he opened his eyes several minutes later, he saw around ten men dressed in animal skin with human heads on their belts!
Then they started a fire near him and chanting things he didn’t understand but he was sure they wanted to eat him!
